Long time before the era of digital photography and "Google images", Rapsodia has been one of the earliest photo agencies to provide online the images of its photographers. At the time, Rapsodia's server was controlled by a processor running at 166 Mhz installed in a closet in Annecy (France), then pilot city for the broadcasting of the Web by wire.
Faced to the commoditization of digital imagery and to a global competition unsustainable for a craft-scale (and proud of it!) company, Rapsodia has now ceased its mission to represent photographers...
But the innovating and independent spirit of beginnings persists, maintained by the passion and the flawless professionalism of the historic team: Nicolas for IT development, Anne for administrative management, and Laurent for producing images. A nice bunch of Martians!
