The Lyngen Alps are mountainous fjords in the North of Norway and are a genuine paradise for wilderness skiing, away from slopes and lifts. Inaccessible by road in the winter so the only possible way to get there is by sailing. Therefore you need to rent a sailing boat and a skipper, which is easily done through specialised agencies. Sailing through Fjords, searching out the perfect runs from the sailing boat, mooring up on the banks and putting on your boots and skinning up your skis to climb up the gullies in order to glide down the magnificent snowfields. This is a sporting adventure like no other.
