More than 2,600 registrants, a 163 km race and almost 10 000 m of positive elevation swallowed night (s) and day (s) whatever it costs, we can say that “la Diagonale des Fous” (the diagonal for madmen) is aptly named! The “Grand Raid de la Reunion” crosses the island at its greatest width through the gorgeous and isolated Cilaos and Mafate cirques. A crazy ultra-trail that requires a total abnegation and only one motivation: to go to the end!
